About Kate Turner Mays.
I started Conscious Rider ten years ago with one student for a hobby really and it has grown into a wonderful family oriented barn with students of all creeds. I am still a professional artist and Conscious Rider now affords me the space to paint and write what stirs in my soul www.SacredPainting.com I let go of my commercial art business to paint in my home studio on the ranch and am grateful to share the rest of my time with you.
‘We teach what we most need to learn.’
I am constantly practicsing to master my thoughts, body and soul. One way is to teach consciousness through horses, by teaching you. Over the last 22 years since I started my quest to know Love/Divine Intelligence/God, purifying my body mind and spirit by weaning myself of one addiction after another. I have studied and qualified myself in various healing modalities and horsemanship courses which have taught me how to live a stress free, peaceful and healthy life. Horses are spiritual guides, being so empathic, they teach me about honesty and love. We will learn how to ride well through Sally Swifts Centered Riding using visualization, confidence building techniques and from my years of doing various yoga techniques (I am a qualified Kundalini Yoga teacher) tranformitive breath work.

The horses and I help you become more conscious of your body, helping you change your unconscious fear into confident, leadership horse skills. Horses guide us into a kinder relationship with ourselves.

Empathic connection.
This horse rarely lets anyone touch his ears due to past abuse. Yet
with grounding oneself and patience he is relaxed and trusting enough to allow it. His trauma
teaches us that he, in many ways is like us, and if he can trust again,
perhaps we can too.
